Software Selection Form
I do not have any experience to use software selection forms. I asked a teacher in IEP program who used software selection forms for her purchasing. I saw the form which she has made. From form, she could have feedback from different programs and five levels, finding which software meet the needs of teacher .The price of software also put on form which could save her time before purchasing.
A school has members from different grades and subject areas; they could have a meet to fill software selection form with evaluation of purchasing requests. First, this committee will meet their needs. Then, they could get basic product information. For school, it is avoid wasting time and make a budget decisions .Finally, the students will have beneficial in the classroom by software support.

That’s the big thing, software support. There are people I know that will purchase a software program but never accounted in for updating programs when theirs become outdated. Technology expenses never end because technology is always changing and there is always something new in a few years.
ReplyDeleteI too have never seen a selection form. When speaking with my tech coordinator she also agreed with what you explained, in that teachers rate a software based on compatibility, need, and cost.
